PROS:
* Quiet
* Does a good job heating the room it's in, though the room isn't big.
* The emergency shut-off tip-over mechanism is an external switch on the bottom; not something inside you have no control over.
* 3-year warranty. Be aware, though, that Unique Imports must be offering this, because there's nothing on the box or instructions that mentions this.
CONS:
* The orange power indicator light stays on, even when you turn the dial to "off". "OFF" should mean "EVERYthing off", not SOME things off. Only when you tip it over does the orange indicator light also shut off.
* Though the temperature controller/sensor in the HIGH HEAT switch position works fine, it is in the LOW HEAT switch position that the temperature sensor works poorly, if at all. If I carefully adjust it to the point where it just kicks on, it does NOT automatically shut off, even when the room reaches Miami summer beach hot, or NY City summer swelter. (Is this normal or a defect of the one I bought?) If this is true of all of them, do NOT leave this space heater unattended in a child's room or ANY room without frequent adult monitoring!

OTHER THOUGHTS:
I'll keep this for now, because it replaced a space heater that had become very noisy. It will be replaced if something better comes along. If you think that Amazon sells a better one somewhere, DO let me know!
